Established in 2005 by Dave Unger, CPA, as Unger & Associates, PC, this CPA firm has proudly served as a trusted partner to clients in the Platte County and surrounding Missouri and Kansas areas. Dave Marsh, CPA, joined the firm in 2012 as a highly respected client advisor.

In 2020, the firm went through a rebranding and the name was changed to Unger & Marsh, PC. Personal and professional service for our clients is a priority in the firm. With a diverse background that includes accounting, tax and managing business operations as a Chief Financial Officer, Dave has first-hand knowledge of the challenges facing small business owners and has the skills to guide his clients as their advisor and advocate. Dave is a dedicated family man, avid ice hockey fan, enjoys hunting and fishing, as well as a great barbecue.

Lisa Bjustrom – With more than 30 years of experience working in the tax and small business services departments of large and small Kansas City area CPA firms, Lisa’s specialty is helping clients navigate the ever changing tax laws. She thrives on the opportunity to work with clients on short and long term planning. Lisa is a dedicated wife and mother and enjoys volunteering at church and other organizations as well as exercising with the family dog.

Diane Thompson – As an IRS Enrolled Agent (the highest certification given by the IRS) Diane provides tax return preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts as well as payroll and bookkeeping services. Formerly an accountant and controller in the transportation industry, she brings technical expertise, timeliness and focused commitment to her clients. Diane is dedicated to her family and also helps to run family businesses as well as spending time volunteering in her community.

Kevin Unger – Through his extensive experience in process efficiency program development and the operations side of investment accounting, Kevin supports our clients with operational consulting and improvement initiatives. In addition, his attention to detail is a valuable asset in the preparation of our client’s financial statements. Kevin is a dedicated family man and since 2013 has operated a league of 20+ adult ice hockey teams.

Tammy Fivecoat – Working with the public for the past 18 years, management, and owning a small business with her husband all are experiences that provide Tammy with a solid background for being part of the team. She provides a friendly face/voice as she assists clients and also works to assist all professional staff. Tammy is a dedicated wife, mother, and proud Gigi who enjoys crocheting and scrapbooking.

Alicia Jensen – Alicia joined our team in 2021 and serves as a staff accountant assisting our small business and individual clients with accounting, payroll, and tax services. Her husband is Active Duty and the family will be retiring in Leavenworth in the next few years. The family enjoys biking and has participated in Iowa’s well-known ride – RAGBRAI – the past two summers.
Beth Dandini – Beth leads our front office operations. She has an extensive background in customer service, collections and business administration.
